Aisha jamila Hinds was born in America and is best-known for her role in The Shield. Since her first appearance in 2003 she has demonstrated her range in acting performing outstandingly in TV shows like 9-1-1 Detroit 1--8-7 and Under the Dome. Anna's role on Assault on Precinct 13 was her first big break. The first time she was recognized was for her part in the biographical movie All the Way. Hind was also praised for her role as Harriet Tubman in WGN America's period television drama Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 20th Century Fox Television renewed the show for a fresh season. Recently Hind wrapped filming for the Hollywood film Godzilla: King of the Monsters due to release mid-2019. Her father Krishnaraj, who was an Army scientist who died on March 18 2017 and mother Vrinda are both homemakers. She has an older brother Aditya Rai who works as a merchant navy engineer. Her older brother, Aditya Rai wrote and co-produced Dil Ka Rishta along with their mother. The family moved to Mumbai, where she attended Arya Vidya Mandir. Jai Hind College in Mumbai was where she finished her secondary schooling in one year, before she began at D.G. Ruparel College Matunga was where she earned a score of 90% in her H.S.C. exams. Her adolescence was spent studying music and classical dance for 5 years. Her favourite topic was the study of zoology. Bachchan, who was then in the process of studying architecture, was named Miss World in the year 1994. The award catapulted her into the modeling industry's speed pace. The lucrative work she did with PepsiCo Inc. & Vogue magazine as well as her deal as a spokesmodel in partnership with L'Oreal Paris were all rewarded in 2003. Her acting career began well with her highly acclaimed parts on Iruvar (1997) and Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya (1997). Both films defied the basic form that was prevalent in Bollywood movies at the time, which pushed Bachchan to prominence in the New Bollywood. Her heartbreaking portrayal of Paro, the lover who got married in Devdas (2002) which was one of the best-known Bollywood films at that time. Its premiere at the Cannes Film Festival cemented her as the Queen of Bollywood. Chokher (2002), a dramatized version of the novel by Rabindranath Tagore (2003) received much acclaim. She was the first Indian to be on the jury of the Cannes Film Festival. Bachchan played the role of Bride and Prejudice, a ballet and musical version of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice by Gurinderchadha. Bachchan brought both her star-power as well as her beautiful appearance to her major English film. In the months before releasing Provoked: A True Story 2006 in English the actress returned to Bollywood to play the lead role in Dhoom: 2 (2006 smash hit). In April 2007, she was married to Abhishek Bachchan a frequent co-star, and child of Bollywood great Amitabh Bachchan in a marriage which brought together two of the most powerful Indian actors.
